About Introduction to Human Evolution

This is a book about evolution. It does not promise an exhaustive discussion of the topic, or we would be providing you with a textbook that weighed more than you. Instead, this book will introduce the reader to major issues surrounding the theory of evolution, and illuminate questions like what evolution is and is not, and how we know what we think we know about it. In addition, these discussions can serve as a backdrop from which other scholars can add their own specific scientific focus in the classroom. Whether you are an ecologist, geneticist, physicist, or anatomist, the rules of the scientific method that apply to you are identical. Good science always follows the strict rules of the scientific method, and this allows scholars from diverse geographic areas to compare their work in a meaningful and consistent way
