As the adopting professor, you can choose to have Cognella Active Learning content delivered via our hosted or integrated systems.

Hosted Active Learning

The preview course you're viewing right now is within our Hosted Active Learning platform. The hosted environment provides a complete learning management system that you can use to manage your course. You and your students will log in to our platform to complete all of your course-related activities. Our user-friendly platform provides all of the tools you need to run your course, including support for quizzes, assignments, discussion forums, course announcements, a built-in syllabus, and class calendar, as well as a robust gradebook with SpeedGrader. At the end of the term, you can export the grades from our system and import them into your school's gradebook. The Hosted Active Learning environment is a great choice for professors who don't have access to an LMS through their institution or for professors who don't like the option provided by their school and would prefer our easy-to-use platform.

Integrated Active Learning

The Integrated Active Learning platform provides the same educational content but allows for the content to be integrated directly into your school's learning management system. Students will access all of the activities, assignments, and quizzes via your home system, and grades automatically flow into your LMS gradebook. Many schools require their internal IT department to approve tools for integration, so please let us know as soon as possible if you're interested in an integrated solution so we can reach out to your IT department and start the vetting process.

You can choose to have your course materials posted for sale in Cognella's online student store. This eliminates the middleman and often results in 20-30% savings for your students.
